BikeArtistry started with a simple observation: the best moments in bike racing look like paintings already. A lone rider on a climb, a sprint erupting through a market square, a peloton strung out in the rain — the sport composes itself, and all a painting has to do is hold the moment still.
Anyone who has watched a race knows the range of feeling packed into it. There's the suffering, obviously. But there's also patience, calculation, loyalty between teammates, and those rare afternoons when one rider simply decides the race is theirs. That emotional range is what the collection tries to capture — not photorealism, but the feeling of the moment.
The pieces range in style from impressionist scenes that could have been painted a century ago to bolder, more abstract work about pure speed and effort. Each one begins with a real racing moment: a mountain attack, a world champion celebrating, a leader marshalling the front of the bunch.
